Zaman Associates Pvt Ltd came into inception in 1986 as a small enterprise founded by Syed Ali Zaman, with a core vision focused on manufacturing and exporting knitted apparel. Starting from an office in Karachi, the company started with a manufacturing unit for knitted fabric with a small number of machines. In 1989, the company bought its first quota to export and send its first shipment to the United States of America. In 2003, Zaman Associates expanded its operations by opening up a factory and shifting its business operation in Lahore. During the years, the company saw opportunities in different sectors, which could potentially help expand the company’s portfolio. Since then, having been in the industry for almost four decades, the company has expanded its divisions by venturing into different avenues including agriculture, trading and construction, adding to the group subsidiaries.

A state-of-the-art production unit was set up in Lahore, Pakistan located 22Km, Small Rohi Nala Rd, off Ferozepur Road in order to produce high-quality fabrics while driving change for a sustainable future. Since then, our textile exports grew, with majority of our clients being based out of the US.
Whilst working closely with our clients, all our exports are presold; the styles and designs are created by our buyers to which we give life. Our products vary from polos, hoodies, T-Shirts and other value added styles etc. We work in both 100% cotton and blends to make fabrics of single jersey, Interlock, Ribs, Fleece and various other textures.

Paddy Procurement
Golden grain rice fields are located in the heart of Nankana Sahib, an area stretching over 600 acres, with over the richest soils in all of Pakistan and with an abundance of fresh water flowing from river Ravi.
In addition to the rich quality paddy homegrown in our plains of Nankana Sahib, our experienced quality checking officers also procure and collect the best paddy from other growers all over Pakistan. Technology
Golden grain uses state of the art of technology to ensure sustainable, ethical and efficient processing of rice. The paddy goes through a rigorous process for it to come out as rice. The process starts of by cleaning and de-stoning. It is the most essential part of the process as it separates all the impurities within the paddy such as sand, clay, and heavy particles of uneven sizes. Golden Grain ensures multiple tests throughout this process to ensure high quality control.
The next process is the dehusking, which is the process of removing the husk and bran from the paddy and producing white rice grains that are milled and contain minimum number of broken rice grains. The next step involves polishing where the surface of the rice is smoothened and is given a shine by passing through a series of rollers. The final process is the grading and sorting of the rice where immature/small & broken size grains are separated to achieve finest and uniform rice length. A colour sorter machine is then used to remove unrefined grains based on the colour of the rice.
Sustainability
Golden Grain prides itself on a sustainable business model, on each of the steps listed above, there is no wastage of any of the rice by-products such as husk, bran and broken rice. Each of these by-products is sold within sister industries to the rice market.
Packaging
This is the final process where each bag is weighed according to the specifications and requirements of our clients and then is loaded for delivery. We maintain state of the art and extremely rigorous quality checks at this step to ensure that our bags meet international standards.
